Mardi, des \u00e9quipes de la d\u00e9fense civile palestinienne ont r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9 les restes de 40 Palestiniens du cimeti\u00e8re Sheikh Radwan, au nord de la ville de Gaza, avant de les r\u00e9inhumer apr\u00e8s que les tombes aient \u00e9t\u00e9 soumises \u00e0 des op\u00e9rations d'excavation et de bulldozer men\u00e9es par les forces isra\u00e9liennes pendant la guerre.<\/p>\n

La Direction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la protection civile de Gaza a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 dans un communiqu\u00e9 que ses \u00e9quipes avaient \u201c transf\u00e9r\u00e9 avec succ\u00e8s les d\u00e9pouilles de 40 Palestiniens du c\u00f4t\u00e9 est du cimeti\u00e8re Cheikh Radwan \u201d, pr\u00e9cisant que la zone avait \u00e9t\u00e9 soumise \u00e0 des op\u00e9rations de bulldozers isra\u00e9liennes pendant la guerre.<\/p>\n

Elle a ajout\u00e9 que le processus de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration a \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9 avec la participation de sp\u00e9cialistes en criminalistique, de m\u00e9decins l\u00e9gistes et du minist\u00e8re des Biens religieux et des Affaires religieuses, dans le cadre des efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s pour pr\u00e9server la dignit\u00e9 des d\u00e9funts et recenser les corps dont les s\u00e9pultures ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9truites.<\/p>\n

Exhumation de tombes lors d'op\u00e9rations de bulldozers isra\u00e9liennes<\/h4>\n

D'apr\u00e8s les informations recueillies sur place, plusieurs corps dont les tombes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 exhum\u00e9es lors des op\u00e9rations de bulldozer isra\u00e9liennes avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 enterr\u00e9s temporairement et au hasard par les habitants pendant la guerre, avant d'\u00eatre r\u00e9inhum\u00e9s aujourd'hui dans des emplacements am\u00e9nag\u00e9s \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur du cimeti\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

La direction a expliqu\u00e9 que les d\u00e9pouilles avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 remises aux autorit\u00e9s comp\u00e9tentes afin de mener \u00e0 bien les proc\u00e9dures juridiques et humanitaires relatives \u00e0 l'identification de leurs propri\u00e9taires et \u00e0 la conservation des corps conform\u00e9ment aux proc\u00e9dures approuv\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Les \u00e9quipes sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es ont pu identifier un certain nombre de corps et les r\u00e9inhumer avec leurs noms dans le m\u00eame cimeti\u00e8re, tandis que d'autres corps n'ont pas pu \u00eatre identifi\u00e9s en raison de leur d\u00e9composition ou de la perte de leurs caract\u00e9ristiques distinctives.<\/p>\n

Des sources au sein de la direction ont indiqu\u00e9 \u00e0 l'agence Anadolu que les corps non identifi\u00e9s avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 plac\u00e9s dans des sacs sp\u00e9ciaux et r\u00e9pertori\u00e9s avec des num\u00e9ros d'identification avant d'\u00eatre r\u00e9inhum\u00e9s, ce qui permettrait de les identifier ult\u00e9rieurement si de nouvelles informations ou preuves devenaient disponibles.<\/p>\n

Le cimeti\u00e8re Sheikh Radwan est l'un des plus grands cimeti\u00e8res de la ville de Gaza, et pendant la guerre isra\u00e9lienne, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 soumis \u00e0 des op\u00e9rations r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9es de bulldozers et de ciblage qui ont entra\u00een\u00e9 la profanation de tombes et la destruction de larges parties du cimeti\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

L\u2019exhumation des restes intervient dans un contexte d\u2019accusations r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9es selon lesquelles Isra\u00ebl aurait ras\u00e9 et cibl\u00e9 des cimeti\u00e8res dans la bande de Gaza pendant la guerre.<\/p>\n

En janvier 2024, l'Observatoire euro-m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en des droits de l'homme a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 avoir document\u00e9 des attaques de l'arm\u00e9e isra\u00e9lienne contre au moins 12 cimeti\u00e8res dans la bande de Gaza, au cours desquelles ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9truits par des bulldozers.<\/p>\n

Au moins 16 cimeti\u00e8res ont \u00e9t\u00e9 endommag\u00e9s.<\/h4>\n

Une enqu\u00eate de CNN a \u00e9galement r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que l'arm\u00e9e isra\u00e9lienne a endommag\u00e9 au moins 16 cimeti\u00e8res dans la bande de Gaza lors de ses op\u00e9rations terrestres, notamment en d\u00e9truisant des pierres tombales, en rasant des terrains fun\u00e9raires et, dans certains cas, en exhumant des corps de leurs s\u00e9pultures.<\/p>\n

Depuis l'entr\u00e9e en vigueur de l'accord de cessez-le-feu le 10 octobre 2025, les \u00e9quipes de la protection civile et les \u00e9quipes sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es ont continu\u00e9 \u00e0 transf\u00e9rer les corps des tombes al\u00e9atoires et temporaires vers les cimeti\u00e8res r\u00e9guliers apr\u00e8s qu'ils aient \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9s par leurs proches.<\/p>\n

Compte tenu des ressources limit\u00e9es, les autorit\u00e9s de Gaza comptent sur les familles des disparus pour identifier les corps gr\u00e2ce aux v\u00eatements, aux caract\u00e9ristiques physiques ou aux signes de blessures, un processus qui laisse de graves s\u00e9quelles psychologiques sur les proches des victimes.<\/p>\n
