La conf\u00e9rence, pr\u00e9vue les 18 et 19 juin, r\u00e9unira des chefs d'\u00c9tat et de gouvernement, des d\u00e9cideurs politiques, des universitaires et des repr\u00e9sentants d'organisations internationales, dans le but d'\u00e9laborer une vision pratique pour traduire la r\u00e9solution de l'ONU en mesures concr\u00e8tes qui promeuvent la justice r\u00e9paratrice, la reconnaissance historique et la responsabilit\u00e9 pour les crimes li\u00e9s \u00e0 l'esclavage et \u00e0 l'exploitation coloniale.<\/p>\n

Cette conf\u00e9rence rev\u00eat une importance particuli\u00e8re pour les pays africains et les peuples de la diaspora africaine, car elle repr\u00e9sente une nouvelle \u00e9tape vers la r\u00e9solution du probl\u00e8me historique de l'esclavage et la promotion des principes de justice, de dignit\u00e9 humaine et d'\u00e9quit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

La Namibie participe \u00e0 cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement dans le cadre de ses efforts continus pour d\u00e9fendre la justice historique, en particulier celle relative au g\u00e9nocide subi par les peuples Ovahiro et Nama pendant la p\u00e9riode coloniale allemande entre 1904 et 1908, ainsi que dans le cadre des n\u00e9gociations en cours avec l'Allemagne sur les r\u00e9parations et la justice r\u00e9paratrice.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 l'issue de sa participation \u00e0 la conf\u00e9rence, la pr\u00e9sidente Ntumbo Nandi-Ndaitwa se rendra en R\u00e9publique-Unie de Tanzanie pour une visite d'\u00c9tat les 20 et 21 juin, dans le but de renforcer les liens historiques de longue date entre les deux pays et d'explorer de nouveaux domaines de coop\u00e9ration dans divers secteurs \u00e9conomiques et de d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n

La pr\u00e9sidente namibienne devrait s'entretenir bilat\u00e9ralement avec son homologue tanzanienne, la docteure Samia Suluhu Hassan, afin de discuter des moyens de d\u00e9velopper le partenariat entre les deux pays et de superviser la signature de plusieurs accords et protocoles d'entente dans les domaines de la coop\u00e9ration conjointe.<\/p>\n

Cette visite rev\u00eat une dimension historique particuli\u00e8re, compte tenu du r\u00f4le jou\u00e9 par la Tanzanie pendant la lutte de la Namibie pour l'ind\u00e9pendance, en accueillant des milliers de Namibiens en exil et en fournissant un soutien politique, diplomatique et logistique au mouvement de lib\u00e9ration nationale.<\/p>\n

Le pr\u00e9sident namibien visitera \u00e9galement plusieurs sites historiques de la r\u00e9gion de Kongwa, li\u00e9s \u00e0 l'histoire de la lutte de lib\u00e9ration de la Namibie, notamment des lieux qui ont abrit\u00e9 des combattants de la lib\u00e9ration et le d\u00e9funt pr\u00e9sident fondateur de la Namibie, Sam Nujoma, pendant les ann\u00e9es de lutte contre le colonialisme.<\/p>\n
