Le 11 juin 2026, le Pr\u00e9sident du Conseil de la R\u00e9publique du Togo, Faure Essozimna Gnassingb\u00e9, a re\u00e7u le Ministre des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res, de la Coop\u00e9ration africaine et des Mauritaniens de l'\u00e9tranger, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug.<\/p>\n

Cela s'inscrit dans le cadre des relations amicales et de la coop\u00e9ration entre le Togo et le Togo. Mauritanie<\/a>Renforcer la coop\u00e9ration et le partenariat, de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 ce que les deux peuples en b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient.<\/p>\n

Le ministre mauritanien des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res \u00e9tait porteur d'un message du pr\u00e9sident Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, qu'il tenait \u00e0 remettre au pr\u00e9sident du Conseil togolais.<\/p>\n

\u201d Les deux dirigeants tiennent des consultations r\u00e9guli\u00e8res sur les questions cl\u00e9s d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat commun, aux niveaux bilat\u00e9ral, r\u00e9gional et international \u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug a profit\u00e9 de sa rencontre avec le pr\u00e9sident du Conseil d'\u00c9tat du Togo pour discuter de l'\u00e9tat du partenariat bilat\u00e9ral et des perspectives de coop\u00e9ration conjointe entre les deux pays.<\/p>\n

Les deux parties ont \u00e9galement discut\u00e9 d'un certain nombre de questions d'int\u00e9r\u00eat commun inscrites \u00e0 l'agenda international, notamment dans le cadre de l'Union africaine, de l'Organisation de la coop\u00e9ration islamique et des Nations Unies.<\/p>\n

Les discussions ont mis en lumi\u00e8re une convergence de points de vue sur les principales questions r\u00e9gionales et internationales, ainsi que leur engagement commun envers les valeurs de paix, de solidarit\u00e9 et de coop\u00e9ration.<\/p>\n

La Mauritanie souffre de d\u00e9sertification<\/h2>\n

Par ailleurs, concernant la Mauritanie, la ministre mauritanienne de l'Environnement et du D\u00e9veloppement durable, Masouda Bint Baham, a mis en garde contre l'aggravation continue du ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne de d\u00e9sertification dans le pays.<\/p>\n

Elle a confirm\u00e9 que la catastrophe affecte d\u00e9sormais plus de 841 TP3 T de la superficie totale de la Mauritanie, dans un contexte de d\u00e9fis environnementaux croissants qui menacent la bande c\u00f4ti\u00e8re et la biodiversit\u00e9 terrestre et marine.<\/p>\n

Les propos de la ministre ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tenus lors d'\u00e9v\u00e9nements organis\u00e9s dans la capitale, Nouakchott, pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer les Journ\u00e9es mondiales de l'environnement et des oc\u00e9ans, o\u00f9 elle a pass\u00e9 en revue les principaux probl\u00e8mes environnementaux auxquels le pays est confront\u00e9 et les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s par le gouvernement pour y rem\u00e9dier.<\/p>\n

Bint Baham a soulign\u00e9 que l'expansion de la d\u00e9sertification repr\u00e9sente l'un des d\u00e9fis environnementaux actuels les plus graves, notant que la lutte contre ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne exige d'intensifier les efforts nationaux et de renforcer la coordination entre les diff\u00e9rentes parties concern\u00e9es, en plus d'\u0153uvrer \u00e0 la protection des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes c\u00f4tiers et \u00e0 la pr\u00e9servation de la biodiversit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Elle a ajout\u00e9 que le gouvernement mauritanien met en \u0153uvre un ensemble de programmes et de r\u00e9formes visant \u00e0 renforcer la capacit\u00e9 d'adaptation au changement climatique et \u00e0 en r\u00e9duire les effets n\u00e9gatifs, ce qui contribue \u00e0 soutenir la r\u00e9silience des syst\u00e8mes environnementaux et \u00e9conomiques et \u00e0 parvenir \u00e0 un d\u00e9veloppement durable.<\/p>\n

Le ministre de l'Environnement et du D\u00e9veloppement durable a soulign\u00e9 que la protection de l'environnement est un pilier fondamental pour garantir la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire, la sant\u00e9 publique et le bien-\u00eatre \u00e9conomique, appelant \u00e0 poursuivre les efforts pour pr\u00e9server et prot\u00e9ger les ressources naturelles pour les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures.<\/p>\n
