Le gouvernement de la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo a annonc\u00e9 mardi la r\u00e9ouverture A\u00e9roport principal<\/a> Dans la province d'Ituri, \u00e9picentre de l'\u00e9pid\u00e9mie d'Ebola, apr\u00e8s un confinement de dix jours pour des raisons de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 publique.<\/p>\n

Ebola au Congo<\/h4>\n

Le minist\u00e8re des Transports a expliqu\u00e9 dans un communiqu\u00e9 officiel que les autorit\u00e9s ont conclu que \u201c les conditions sont d\u00e9sormais r\u00e9unies pour une reprise progressive et s\u00fbre du trafic a\u00e9rien \u201d, suite \u00e0 une \u00e9valuation des m\u00e9canismes de surveillance de la propagation de la maladie, selon l'agence de presse fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>\n

Pour sa part, le ministre de la Sant\u00e9, Samuel Roger Kamba, a indiqu\u00e9 que les autorit\u00e9s avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 contraintes de prendre des mesures de pr\u00e9caution afin de prot\u00e9ger les voyageurs et de limiter la propagation de l'infection.<\/p>\n

\u00c9pid\u00e9mie d'Ebola au Congo<\/h4>\n

Le pays est confront\u00e9 \u00e0 une \u00e9pid\u00e9mie g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9e d'Ebola, une maladie h\u00e9morragique hautement contagieuse qui aurait tu\u00e9 au moins 246 personnes en R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo et en Ouganda, selon les Centres africains de contr\u00f4le et de pr\u00e9vention des maladies.<\/p>\n

Le 23 mai, les autorit\u00e9s congolaises ont suspendu tous les vols commerciaux \u00e0 destination et en provenance de l'a\u00e9roport de Bunia, capitale de la province orientale d'Ituri, en proie au conflit, n'autorisant que les vols m\u00e9dicaux et humanitaires.<\/p>\n

Alors que l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie d\u2019Ebola s\u2019intensifie en R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo, avec un nombre de cas confirm\u00e9s en forte augmentation, des dimensions plus complexes de la crise \u00e9mergent, non seulement en termes de propagation de la maladie, mais aussi en termes de groupes les plus touch\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Ce sont les femmes qui sont les plus expos\u00e9es au risque face \u00e0 l'escalade de l'\u00e9pid\u00e9mie d'Ebola.<\/h4>\n

Alors que le syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 continue de subir une pression croissante, les femmes se trouvent au c\u0153ur de la sc\u00e8ne \u00e9pid\u00e9mique, car elles sont les plus vuln\u00e9rables \u00e0 l'infection et les plus pr\u00e9sentes en premi\u00e8re ligne des soins \u00e0 domicile et dans les \u00e9tablissements de sant\u00e9, selon un sch\u00e9ma qui se r\u00e9p\u00e8te \u00e0 chaque \u00e9pid\u00e9mie, dans un contexte de manque \u00e9vident de moyens de pr\u00e9vention et d'un danger de plus en plus \u00e9tendu.<\/p>\n

Les professionnels de la sant\u00e9 avertissent que les femmes sont confront\u00e9es \u00e0 un risque accru li\u00e9 \u00e0 l'\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de virus, notamment en raison de l'augmentation du nombre de cas confirm\u00e9s, dans des conditions qui facilitent la transmission au sein des communaut\u00e9s touch\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Dans ce contexte, les donn\u00e9es indiquent que les femmes repr\u00e9sentaient les deux tiers des cas lors de la r\u00e9cente \u00e9pid\u00e9mie, en raison de leur r\u00f4le traditionnel dans la prise en charge des patients au sein des familles, ce qui augmente leurs chances d'\u00eatre expos\u00e9es \u00e0 l'infection.<\/p>\n

Comme l'a expliqu\u00e9 ONU Femmes dans une pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente d\u00e9claration, les femmes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 surrepr\u00e9sent\u00e9es parmi les d\u00e9c\u00e8s dus \u00e0 Ebola au cours des cinq derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies, notant que ce sch\u00e9ma s'est clairement r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9 lors de l'\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de 2018-2019 au Congo, o\u00f9 les femmes et les filles repr\u00e9sentaient environ les deux tiers des cas enregistr\u00e9s.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
