Un soutien international est n\u00e9cessaire pour sauver 1,8 million de personnes touch\u00e9es.<\/h3>\n

Face \u00e0 ces r\u00e9percussions, l\u2019Organisation des Nations Unies pour l\u2019alimentation et l\u2019agriculture (FAO) a lanc\u00e9 un appel urgent pour collecter de nouveaux fonds afin de soutenir les plans de relance et d\u2019att\u00e9nuer les effets de la catastrophe, avertissant que la crise pourrait se prolonger pendant des ann\u00e9es si une intervention urgente et efficace n\u2019est pas mise en \u0153uvre.<\/p>\n

Les inondations d\u00e9truisent les r\u00e9coltes et les infrastructures agricoles du pays<\/h2>\n

L\u2019Organisation des Nations Unies pour l\u2019alimentation et l\u2019agriculture (FAO) a lanc\u00e9 un appel de fonds de 107,66 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains pour soutenir quelque 1,8 million de personnes au Mozambique qui devraient \u00eatre touch\u00e9es par les inondations li\u00e9es au climat jusqu\u2019en 2031, avertissant que la catastrophe pourrait continuer \u00e0 compromettre la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire et les efforts de redressement pendant des ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

L\u2019Organisation des Nations Unies pour l\u2019alimentation et l\u2019agriculture (FAO) a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 dans son Plan de rel\u00e8vement du Mozambique apr\u00e8s les inondations 2026-2031 que de graves inondations ont frapp\u00e9 le pays plus t\u00f4t cette ann\u00e9e et ont consid\u00e9rablement perturb\u00e9 les syst\u00e8mes agroalimentaires, endommageant les cultures, le b\u00e9tail, les p\u00eacheries et les infrastructures agricoles vitales dans certaines des zones les plus productives.<\/p>\n

La crise climatique menace les moyens de subsistance pour les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir.<\/h3>\n

Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 indiqu\u00e9 que la crise a touch\u00e9 plus de 724 000 personnes et endommag\u00e9 environ 440 000 hectares, avec des dommages et des pertes totales estim\u00e9es \u00e0 environ 30,4 milliards de metical (environ 486 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains).<\/p>\n

L\u2019Organisation des Nations Unies pour l\u2019alimentation et l\u2019agriculture (FAO) a expliqu\u00e9 que l\u2019agriculture repr\u00e9sente pr\u00e8s de 73 % des pertes totales, ce qui aggrave l\u2019impact sur les moyens de subsistance ruraux et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire \u00e0 long terme.<\/p>\n

Elle a soulign\u00e9 que le plan de la FAO se concentre sur les gouvernorats les plus touch\u00e9s. Elle a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 que Gaza et Maputo ont subi les d\u00e9g\u00e2ts les plus importants, de nombreuses familles rurales ayant perdu des moyens de subsistance essentiels \u00e0 leur production, au-del\u00e0 de la saison des semailles.<\/p>\n

Un soutien est \u00e9galement apport\u00e9 \u00e0 d'autres zones touch\u00e9es, notamment les districts de Sofala, Inhambane, Manika, Tete et Nampula.<\/p>\n

En r\u00e9ponse, l'Organisation des Nations Unies pour l'alimentation et l'agriculture a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu'elle coordonnait l'aide d'urgence \u00e0 court terme et les mesures de rel\u00e8vement et de r\u00e9silience \u00e0 long terme par le biais d'initiatives compl\u00e9mentaires.<\/p>\n

L\u2019Organisation des Nations Unies pour l\u2019alimentation et l\u2019agriculture (FAO) a confirm\u00e9 qu\u2019elle demandait 79 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains sur trois ans dans le cadre du Plan d\u2019urgence et de r\u00e9silience du Mozambique pour 2026-2028, dont 38 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains pour aider 1,3 million de personnes en 2026.<\/p>\n

L\u2019initiative \u201c Mozambique : Inondations \u2013 Appel urgent \u00e0 l\u2019aide \u201d a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9e en compl\u00e9ment pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins imm\u00e9diats apr\u00e8s la catastrophe, dans le but de collecter 27,9 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains pour soutenir environ 620\u00a0000 personnes jusqu\u2019en juin 2026.<\/p>\n
