In a post on his Facebook account, Macky Sall reported that he had held “fruitful talks” with the French president.
While expressing his heartfelt thanks to Emmanuel Macron for his warm welcome, the former Senegalese leader hinted at the content of their discussions, which focused heavily on global diplomatic issues.
Secretary-General of the United Nations
Macky Sall stated, “We share an ambitious vision for a reformed and revitalized United Nations to enhance its effectiveness, representation, and ability to meet the aspirations of peoples and nations.”.
This official meeting comes at a time when the ambitions of the former Senegalese president to assume the post of Secretary-General of the United Nations are becoming clear.
