Meeting between the Egyptian and Congolese Ministers of Defense to discuss the security and stability of the African continent

General Ashraf Salem Zahar, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production of the Arab Republic of Egypt, received today Mr. Guy Kabundi Madiamvita, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense and Veterans of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and members of his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting Egypt.
A formal reception was held at the General Secretariat of the Egyptian Ministry of Defense, during which the national anthems of both countries were played.
The meeting focused on developments in the regional and international situation and their impact on the security and stability of the African continent, as well as strengthening bilateral military and security cooperation.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, during this meeting, expressed his pride in the strong Egyptian-Congolese relations and emphasized the importance of continued coordination and joint work, as well as strengthening cooperation in various military fields.
For his part, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense and Veterans of the Democratic Republic of Congo praised Egypt's efforts in supporting all issues related to the African continent, and expressed his desire to enhance coordination on matters of common interest.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Ambassador Jean-Baptiste Kasonge Musenga, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to Egypt, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, and a number of senior military officers from both countries.
