High-level talks to enhance integration in air transport

In a move reflecting the strength of the historical relations between Egypt andSudanThe Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation, Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, received the Sudanese Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Engineer Saif Al-Nasr Al-Tijani Haroun, and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry's headquarters in Cairo.
This comes as part of discussions on ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields of air transport and civil aviation, in the presence of a number of senior officials from both sides.

The meeting witnessed extensive discussions on prospects for cooperation in developing airports and air navigation, training human resources, and exchanging technical and operational expertise, in order to contribute to raising the efficiency of the Sudanese air transport system and benefiting from the pioneering Egyptian experience in this vital sector.
Egypt puts its expertise and capabilities at the service of Sudan.
Dr. Sameh El-Hefny affirmed that Egyptian-Sudanese relations represent a model of brotherhood and strategic cooperation between the two countries, noting that Cairo is keen to provide various forms of support to the Sudanese brothers within the framework of the directives of the Egyptian political leadership aimed at strengthening development and recovery efforts in Sudan.
He explained that the Egyptian civil aviation sector possesses accumulated expertise and advanced technical capabilities that qualify it to contribute effectively to the development of the Sudanese aviation sector, through the implementation of specialized training and qualification programs, and the transfer of technical and operational expertise, which supports building human capacities and raises the level of readiness and efficiency to meet the requirements of the future.
Sudan praises the Egyptian experience in civil aviation
For his part, Sudanese Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Engineer Saif Al-Nasr Al-Tijani Haroun, expressed his country’s appreciation for the pivotal role that Egypt plays in developing the civil aviation industry at the African and Arab levels.
He praised the achievements made in the areas of airport management, development of air navigation services, and specialized training.
The Sudanese minister affirmed his country’s aspiration to expand areas of cooperation with Egypt during the next phase, and to benefit from Egyptian expertise in modernizing airport infrastructure and developing specialized national cadres.
Towards a more integrated future
These talks reflect Cairo and Khartoum’s keenness to strengthen the strategic partnership in the air transport sector, which contributes to supporting sustainable development plans, developing civil aviation infrastructure, and enhancing air connectivity between the two countries, in a way that serves common interests and supports the African integration process in the field of transport and aviation.
