This came during his speech at the Eid al-Adha celebrations in Kano, where he pointed out that the country is going through a delicate phase characterized by escalating security crises and deteriorating economic conditions, in addition to a decline in the level of social cohesion, while stressing that these challenges are not insurmountable.

Sanusi called on political leaders to adopt the principles of fairness and accountability in governing the country, stressing the importance of citizen support for efforts to restore security and stability. He said, "By the grace of God, solutions will be achieved if leaders adhere to justice and are supported by the people.".

The Emir of Kano led thousands of worshippers in Eid al-Adha prayers at the central Eid square in Kufar Mata, where in his sermon he emphasized the spiritual meanings of the sacrifice ritual, as a symbol of obedience and piety, calling for strengthening the values of social solidarity and supporting the most needy groups.

The celebrations were attended by a number of senior officials, including Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his deputy Murtaza Suleiman Garow, along with government, religious and traditional leaders.

Sanusi also urged citizens to adhere to moral values and respect the laws, emphasizing the importance of education and proper upbringing for new generations, while also calling for support for security agencies in their efforts to confront security challenges.

As for traditions, the prince’s procession on his horse set off from the palace to the Eid Square, in a majestic festive scene that attracted large crowds of citizens, in a remarkable return of the grand Eid celebrations after years of suspension due to the dispute over the leadership of the emirate.

The celebratory events are expected to continue in the coming days, through a number of heritage events, as part of efforts to revive the cultural heritage of the city of Kano.
