Natasha Museveni Karugeri was born on March 12, 1976 in Tanzania, during a period when her family was in exile due to political unrest in Uganda.<\/p>\n

She is the eldest daughter of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni, and spent her childhood moving between Tanzania, Kenya and Sweden before the family returned to Uganda in 1986.<\/p>\n

Since then, Natasha has embarked on a long journey in the world of creativity and culture, becoming one of the most prominent female figures in the fields of fashion, arts and cinema.<\/p>\n

Natasha studied fashion design and fashion marketing in London, which gave her a strong foundation to build her own business. In 2003, she launched her brand, House of Karugire, which became famous for offering designs that reflect Ugandan identity and highlight African culture in a modern style that competes globally.<\/p>\n

In addition, she published her book What's in a Name: Kainembabazi in 2020, a personal memoir that reviews her childhood and family experiences, and reveals her vision of African women's identity and role in society.<\/p>\n
