Trade relations between Egypt and Kenya<\/a> Significant growth, supported by the expansion of trade and the increase in Egyptian exports to the Kenyan market.<\/p>\n

These developments coincide with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi\u2019s participation in the Africa Summit, entitled \u201cAfrica Forward,\u201d held in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, which aims to strengthen economic and development partnerships between the continent\u2019s countries and their partners.<\/p>\n

Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Egypt indicates that Egyptian exports to Kenya increased by 5.31 TP3T during 2025, while trade exchange between the two countries is approaching $600 million.<\/p>\n

Data released by the agency on Monday showed an increase in Egyptian exports to Kenya to reach $330.6 million during 2025, compared to $313.9 million during 2024, representing an increase of 5.3%.<\/p>\n

The value of Egyptian imports from Kenya reached $264.1 million during 2025, compared to $260.2 million in 2024, an increase of 1.5%, indicating an increase in the total value of trade exchange between Egypt and Kenya, recording $594.7 million during 2025, compared to $574.1 million during 2024, an increase of 3.6%.<\/p>\n

Among the most important commodity groups that Egypt exported to Kenya during 2025 were iron and steel worth $47.3 million, electrical machinery and equipment worth $56.3 million, paper and paper pulp products worth $33.5 million, sugar and sugar products worth $28.3 million, and plastics and plastic products worth $18.4 million.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, remittances from Egyptians working in Kenya amounted to $11.9 million during the 2024\/2025 fiscal year, compared to $9.2 million during the 2023\/2024 fiscal year.<\/p>\n

Remittances from Kenyans working in Egypt amounted to $1.1 million during the 2024\/2025 fiscal year, compared to $1.2 million during the 2023\/2024 fiscal year.<\/p>\n

Egypt's population was recorded at 109 million in May 2026, while Kenya's population was recorded at 58.5 million during the same period.<\/p>\n
