The president is expected to arrive \u00a0Zambia<\/a>\u00a0Hakainde Hishilima arrived today in the Western Province for a two-day working visit, aimed at inaugurating a number of vital infrastructure projects, in addition to direct meetings with local communities.<\/p>\n

According to the official program, the president will arrive \u00a0Zambian<\/a>To Mungu Airport, where he will be received by a number of government officials, civic leaders and members of parliament, along with members of the National Management Committee of the UPND party.<\/p>\n

Meeting with a prominent leader and protocol visits<\/h2>\n

Following the official reception, President Hichilema will proceed to the Limlonga Palace in the Limlonga region, where he will pay a courtesy visit to His Majesty \u201cLetonga\u201d Bossi Emoeku II, as part of strengthening traditional and institutional relations.<\/p>\n

The president will also hold meetings with the ruling party's organizational structures before inaugurating a number of development projects.<\/p>\n

Opening of new roads and health facilities<\/h3>\n

As part of the program for the first day, the President will inaugurate the Mongo-Lemlonga road, a strategic project aimed at improving connectivity between regions and boosting economic activity.<\/p>\n

He will also inaugurate the \u201cHakendee Hishilema\u201d mini hospital, as part of the government\u2019s efforts to improve the quality of health services and expand access to them in rural areas.<\/p>\n

Later in the day, the President will meet with citizens in Mulhambwa Square in Mongo, in an open meeting to discuss local development issues, before heading off to private engagements.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Health projects and strategic bridges in Calabo<\/h3>\n

On the second day of the visit, the President heads to the Calabo area, where he participates in a community outreach program and inaugurates new departments at the Yuka Hospital, including the maternity and pediatric ward and the medical radiology unit.<\/p>\n

He also oversees the opening of the Luanginga and Celanda bridges, which are vital projects to enhance transportation and support economic activity in the region.<\/p>\n

Supporting agriculture and economic development in Sima<\/h3>\n

The tour also includes the Siema region, where the President will meet with local communities and inaugurate the \u201cMulambi\u201d irrigation center, a project based on a center-pivot irrigation system aimed at increasing agricultural production and enhancing food security.<\/p>\n

Conclusion of the visit and a message of development<\/h3>\n

President Hichilema is scheduled to conclude his visit by returning to Mongo before heading to the capital, Lusaka.<\/p>\n
