The Malian army announced in an official statement issued by the General Staff that the ongoing military operations following the attacks that the country witnessed at dawn today resulted in the neutralization of hundreds of attackers, as part of a response it described as \u201dfirm and effective\u201d to the coordinated attacks that targeted several cities.<\/p>\n
The statement explained that combing operations are still ongoing in Bamako, Kati and other areas within the country, in order to track down the elements involved and ensure the full restoration of security in the various areas affected by the attacks.<\/p>\n

The Malian General Staff praised what it described as the "strong response" of the Malian armed forces, emphasizing that the readiness of the troops and their rapid intervention enabled them to inflict heavy losses on the attackers and thwart their plans.
