Ambassador Bassem Hassan, Egypt's ambassador to Tunisia<\/a>At the opening ceremony of the 40th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair, which took place on April 23, 2026, in the presence of Tunisian President Kais Saied.<\/p>\n

The ambassador toured the Egyptian pavilion, which is witnessing wide participation from various countries. Publishing<\/a> The Egyptian, in addition to the presence of a number of Egyptian writers and authors as guests in the seminars and cultural events accompanying the exhibition.<\/p>\n

The Egyptian Embassy in Tunisia invited members of the Egyptian community of all ages to visit the Egyptian pavilion, learn about the latest publications, and follow cultural and creative production, within the framework of strengthening cultural communication between the two countries.<\/p>\n

This participation comes in the context of supporting cultural relations between Egypt and Tunisia, and enhancing the Egyptian presence in international events, which contributes to spreading Arab culture and exchanging intellectual and creative experiences.<\/p>\n

President Kais Saied inaugurated the 40th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair yesterday, Thursday, at the Exhibition Palace in El Kram, amidst a diverse cultural and intellectual presence that reflects the depth of this event and its international dimensions.<\/p>\n

This edition, which opened its doors to the public today, Friday, comes in an exceptional format that blends the symbolism of four decades of cultural accumulation with the stakes of the current stage, as the exhibition witnesses the participation of 394 publishing houses, including 210 foreign participants and 184 from Tunisia, with the display of more than 148,000 titles, in confirmation of the vitality of the literary and intellectual scene and its openness to various global experiences.<\/p>\n

The Republic of Indonesia is the guest of honor at the Tunis Book Fair.<\/span><\/h4>\n
