<\/p>\nBourko Didi El Hadj took over as Deputy Secretary General of the Government of Chad, succeeding Saleh Bourma Ali, during an official ceremony held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Government in the capital N'Djamena, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister and Secretary General of the Government, Dr. Rahmatou Mohamed, and a number of senior officials.<\/p>\n
Burko expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic, Marshal Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, for the trust placed in him, affirming his commitment to serving the state and improving government performance.<\/p>\n

For his part, Saleh Barma pointed to the challenges associated with the position, expressing his gratitude to the political leadership and members of the government for their support during his tenure.<\/p>\n

The Chadian presidency announced the formation of a new government comprising 37 ministers, led once again by Prime Minister Alamaye Helena. Although the formation carries much continuity through the reappointment of ministers from the previous team, some names have attracted attention, most notably the appointment of Sitak Youmbatina as Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Vocational Training, succeeding Tom Erdimi, who resigned at the beginning of last March.<\/p>\n
The recent cabinet reshuffle in Chad comes amidst a complex political and security situation. In this context, the cabinet reshuffle appears to be aimed at building a more cohesive team capable of making quick decisions, while expanding the political support base for the regime to confront the security and economic pressures resulting from the border closures, making the cabinet change part of a broader strategy to enhance internal stability in the face of regional tensions, according to local media.<\/p>\n
