Botswana’s President, Doma Poko, participated in commemorating Sir Seretse Khama, the founding president of the Republic of Botswana and one of the principal architects of our democracy.
The President said: Today I join the people of Botswana in commemorating Sir Seretse Khama, remembering with appreciation and reverence the founding president of the Republic of Botswana and one of the principal architects of our democracy.
He added in a post on his official Facebook page: “His visionary leadership, unwavering patriotism, and steadfast commitment to unity have laid the foundations for a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Botswana.”.

The President of Botswana continued: As we celebrate his great legacy, let us reaffirm our shared responsibility to preserve and build upon the values that shape our nation’s identity.
He concluded: May his timeless example of dedication and service to the nation remain a source of inspiration for generations of the people of Botswana.
