
Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, received Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad of the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco, today, within the framework of periodic consultation and coordination between the two sisterly countries and in preparation for the convening of the first session of the Egyptian-Moroccan Coordination and Follow-up Committee.
Brotherly relations between Egypt and Morocco
During the meeting, the two ministers affirmed the depth of the brotherly relations between Egypt and Morocco, and praised the remarkable development witnessed in relations in various political, economic and trade fields. They stressed the shared commitment to continue to enhance partnership paths in various fields, in order to achieve the common interests of the two brotherly countries.
The meeting witnessed discussions on the ongoing preparations for holding the first session of the Coordination and Follow-up Committee at the level of the two countries’ prime ministers, which will contribute to pushing the course of joint cooperation to broader horizons and meet the aspirations of the two brotherly countries.

Discussing regional issues
The meeting witnessed an exchange of views on a number of regional issues of common interest, including developments in the military escalation in the region and the dangerous turning point the region is witnessing. Minister Abdel-Aty reviewed the efforts undertaken by Egypt in cooperation with regional and international partners to reduce escalation and tension and attempts to spare the region from the expansion of the conflict and further instability.
The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the Palestinian issue and regional developments, including in Sudan and Libya, where the importance of continuing coordination and consultation was emphasized in order to support regional security and stability and enhance joint Arab and African action to deal with current challenges and achieve common interests.
