The Egyptian Embassy in Burkina Faso celebrates the anniversary of the July 23 Revolution

The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Burkina Faso organized a celebration on the evening of Monday, July 13, 2026, on the occasion of the anniversary of the July 23 Revolution, which is considered the National Day of Egypt.
This year marks the seventy-fourth anniversary of the glorious revolution that broke out on July 23, 1952, a symbol of the sacrifices of the Egyptian people and their heroic struggle for liberation from foreign colonialism.
This celebration was a special occasion to honor historical Egyptian figures and celebrate their courage and determination, which enabled Egypt to become the sovereign, powerful and prosperous nation it is today.

The Foreign Minister, at the head of a large Burkinabe delegation, joined the Egyptian community in Burkina Faso to celebrate this historic victory and to emphasize the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
His Excellency the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Zakaria Al-Ghazawi, praised the historic and dynamic cooperation and the strong fraternal relations between his country and Burkina Faso.
The Egyptian diplomat said: “We are proud to continue these fraternal ties and to work towards achieving the common goals of the two countries and the aspirations of their peoples for security, stability and development, regardless of the challenges and difficulties facing the national journey in both countries.”.
In his speech, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso referred to… Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, President of the Republic of Burkina Faso, conveyed the congratulations of the Head of State, Government and people of Burkina Faso to the highest authorities and the brotherly people of the Arab Republic of Egypt on this glorious struggle that marked the contemporary history of Africa and the Arab world.
He declared, “This historic day reminds us of a people’s determination to restore their sovereignty, preserve their dignity, and control their destiny.”.
Egypt and Burkina Faso are embarking on the path of freedom and self-development.
The Foreign Minister of Burkina Faso reaffirmed that Burkina Faso, like Egypt, has made an irreversible choice: freedom, genuine sovereignty, and self-reliant development, striving to build a strong state, a productive economy, a cohesive society, and a proud nation. He emphasized the importance of fruitful cooperation with the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between them in 1978, Burkina Faso and the Arab Republic of Egypt have worked to promote strong, fraternal and mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of defense and security, health, education, vocational training, agriculture, energy, industry and trade.
The Foreign Minister noted that bilateral cooperation is guided by periodic consultations aimed at strengthening political dialogue between the two countries.
His Excellency Karamoko Jean Marie Traore said: “This cooperation is a concrete example of what South-South cooperation should be.”.
