Egyptian cultural diplomacy shines in the Francophone sphere in Senegal

أكدت سفارة جمهورية مصر العربية حضورها الثقافي والدبلوماسي الفاعل، بمشاركتها في الأمسية الفرانكوفونية «Soirée de la gastronomie de la Francophonie» في Senegal، وذلك في إطار الاحتفاء بالتنوع الثقافي داخل الفضاء الفرانكوفوني.

وأتاحت الفعالية منصة للتعريف بالمطبخ المصري الأصيل، حيث تم تقديم مجموعة مختارة من الأطباق التي تجسد عراقة وتنوع الموروث الغذائي المصري. وقد حظيت هذه المشاركة بإشادة واسعة من الحضور، الذين أبدوا إعجابهم بأصالة النكهات وجمال أساليب التقديم التقليدية.
وشهدت الأمسية حضور عدد من السفراء وممثلي البعثات الدبلوماسية، من بينهم سفراء فرنسا ورومانيا وجزر القمر، إلى جانب مدير إدارة المنظمات الدولية، والوزيرة الممثلة الشخصية لرئيس الجمهورية لدى المنظمة الدولية للفرانكفونية، ما يعكس الزخم الدبلوماسي الذي تحظى به مثل هذه الفعاليات.
وعلى الصعيد اللغوي، أسهمت السفارة في إثراء فعاليات سلسلة «Un mot, un pays»، من خلال استعراض عدد من الكلمات ذات الأصول الفرانكوفونية التي أصبحت راسخة في اللهجة المصرية المعاصرة، في مشهد يعكس عمق التداخل اللغوي والثقافي بين العربية والفرنسية عبر التاريخ، ويجسد التأثير الحضاري المتبادل بين مصر والعالم الفرانكوفوني.
وتأتي هذه المشاركة في إطار حرص السفارة على تعزيز جسور التواصل الثقافي، وترسيخ الحضور المصري داخل الفضاء الفرانكوفوني، عبر إبراز ما تزخر به البلاد من إرث حضاري وثقافي عريق.
وعلى صعيد العلاقات المصرية السنغالية، نظمت السفارة في داكار، لقاءً مع مجموعة من الطلاب المشاركين في رحلة مدرسية إلى مصر، بهدف تعريفهم ببرنامج الزيارة وأهم المعالم التي سيقومون باستكشافها.
The meeting was held inside the premises of the private language school “Le Collège Bilingue”, in the presence of the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Karim Ashraf, along with the school director and a number of parents.
The meeting included discussions about the importance of educational trips in building bridges of communication between peoples and enhancing students' understanding of different cultures.
During the meeting, the itinerary was reviewed, which includes visiting the most prominent historical and tourist landmarks in Egypt, most notably the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, in addition to recreational activities in the city of Hurghada.
The program aims to provide an integrated experience that combines educational, cognitive and recreational aspects, thereby enhancing the value of the trip for students.
For his part, Karim Ashraf welcomed the students’ trip to Egypt, stressing the embassy’s keenness to provide all the necessary facilities to ensure the success of the trip.
He pointed out that such visits represent an important opportunity to strengthen cultural relations between Egypt and Senegal, and to broaden the horizons of students through direct exposure to Egyptian civilization.
The Second Secretary of the Embassy touched on the development witnessed by the tourism sector in Egypt during the recent period, noting that the country received about 19 million tourists during the past year, which reflects the growing confidence in the Egyptian tourist destinations and their diversity.
