The July Revolution unites Egypt and Kenya... Ambassador Hatem Yousry affirms the depth of historical relations

Ambassador Hatem Yousry, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Kenya A reception was held to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the July Revolution in Kenya.
The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Kenya is holding a celebration to mark the 74th anniversary of the July Revolution.
In his speech, Ambassador Hatem Yousry pointed out that the July 23, 1952 revolution in Egypt had a profound and direct impact on other countries in its Arab, African and global surroundings.
It also played a pivotal role in supporting national liberation movements against colonialism, especially the national liberation movement in Kenya in 1963, noting that a number of Kenyan leaders at that time, such as Oginga Odinga and James Gishuru, sought refuge in Egypt in order to promote their cause of independence internationally.
Ambassador Hatem Yousry stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries to new horizons in various fields, stressing Egypt’s support for Kenya in hosting the AFCON Africa Cup of Nations in 2027.
Ambassador Hatem Yousry concluded his speech by welcoming the members of the Egyptian community and affirming the embassy’s support for them and our pride in the honorable example they set for Egypt abroad.

In a separate context, the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Albert R. Chimbindi, represented the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Professor Dr. Amon Murwera, yesterday evening at the ceremony commemorating the seventy-fourth anniversary of the National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Harare.
This occasion reaffirmed the deep-rooted and friendly relations between Zimbabwe and Egypt, based on mutual respect, African solidarity, and a shared commitment to peace, sustainable development, and prosperity. The two countries continue to strengthen cooperation through economic diplomacy, with expanding areas of collaboration in trade, investment, science and technology, innovation, healthcare, and manufacturing.
Zimbabwe values Egypt as a reliable strategic partner, whose continued support contributes to advancing shared African aspirations, including regional integration, economic transformation, and equitable global governance. This partnership has already yielded tangible results, including cooperation in the health sector, expanded investment opportunities, and technology transfer.
In line with Zimbabwe's "Open for Business" approach, both countries are committed to deepening bilateral relations and strengthening partnerships between their private sectors to create new opportunities in manufacturing, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, and industrial development, for the mutual benefit of their people.
