The President of Djibouti offers his condolences to Japan for the victims of the devastating earthquake.

The President of the Republic of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, sent a message of condolence to the Prime Minister of Japan, Sanae Takeichi, following the devastating earthquake that struck southwestern Japan on Tuesday, killing about 12 people and injuring a larger number of citizens.
In his message of condolence, the President of Djibouti said: “The people and government of Djibouti join me in expressing their sympathy and solidarity with the friendly Japanese people in this difficult ordeal caused by this disaster.”
Condolences to the Japanese government and people
He added: “I hope that Japan will be able to overcome the effects of this tragedy as soon as possible.”
He also expressed his sincere condolences to the government and people of Japan, and to the families, relatives and friends of the victims.
The earthquake, which measured 7.1 on the Richter scale, caused significant material damage in addition to the loss of life, including the destruction of buildings, bridges, metal structures and commercial centers.
