President Sisi receives a delegation from the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations

The President stressed the importance of a comprehensive and just settlement to the Palestinian issue.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received on Tuesday a delegation from the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, headed by Elizabeth Berns-Korn, president of the organization. The official spokesman for the Presidency stated that the President affirmed during the meeting Egypt’s appreciation for the strategic relations that unite Egypt and the United States of America.

He expressed the centrality of the close coordination and consultation between the two countries in order to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East region and to confront common challenges, especially terrorism and extremist ideology, stressing the need to continue to advance relations between the two countries in various political, economic and investment fields.

Ambassador Mohamed El Shenawy, the official spokesperson, indicated that the members of the delegation expressed their deep appreciation for visiting Egypt and meeting the President, and valued the strategic bilateral relations between Egypt and the United States, expressing their appreciation for the efforts made by Egypt to maintain peace and stability in the Middle East region.

The delegation representatives listened to President Sisi's vision for achieving stability.

In this regard, he touched upon the Egyptian efforts aimed at reducing the current escalation and supporting the course of negotiations underway between the United States and Iran in order to end the current crisis and to avoid its economic and political repercussions on the region and the world.

The official spokesperson explained that the President stressed the importance of a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian issue, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and based on the two-state solution, as it is the only way to ensure the achievement of lasting peace and stability in the Middle East region, considering the Palestinian issue as the central issue for the Arab world.

For their part, the members of the delegation appreciated the President’s vision for achieving stability in the Middle East region, also stressing the centrality of Egyptian-American relations and the existing coordination between the two countries in order to maintain regional peace.
