President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, at Lusail Palace in Doha, where the President offered his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy on the death of the late His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, may God have mercy on him, praying to God Almighty to grant the deceased His abundant mercy and to inspire the brotherly Qatari people with patience and solace.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the President affirmed the Arab Republic of Egypt’s support and backing – leadership and people – for the leadership and people of the sisterly State of Qatar in this painful circumstance.
Ambassador Mohamed El Shenawy, the official spokesperson, indicated that the President praised the late, God willing, His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani for his continuous contributions to achieving renaissance, progress and prosperity in the sisterly State of Qatar, praying to God Almighty to protect the State of Qatar from all evil and harm, and to perpetuate the blessings of security, stability and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The official spokesman added that His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, expressed his deep appreciation for the visit and condolences of the President, stressing the close fraternal relations that unite Egypt and Qatar, and appreciating the historical ties between the two brotherly peoples. The Emir of the State of Qatar also expressed his hope that the Egyptian and Qatari sides will continue to work to advance and develop these relations to broader horizons in the coming period.
