Malian armed forces launch an offensive against terrorist groups in the Ségou region.

The Malian armed forces carried out an intelligence and search operation on Saturday in the Ségou region, targeting sites controlled by armed terrorist groups.

According to the information, this attack resulted in the discovery, seizure, and destruction of several logistical infrastructures used by the attackers.

Targeting terrorist groups in Mali

Among the targets neutralized were a terrorist camp, an attached repair workshop with a fuel depot, and 16 motorcycles, a means of transport commonly used by these groups in their operations.

The same sources indicated that an armed observer was neutralized during the operation. The participating forces also seized a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and equipment belonging to the terrorist groups, and destroyed it to prevent its reuse.

This operation embodies the ongoing offensive operations carried out by the Malian Armed Forces to disrupt supply networks and reduce the operational capabilities of armed terrorist groups in the central region of the country.
