The country is participating Chad At the 29th edition of the Eurosatory 2026 International Defence and Security Exhibition, held in the French capital, Paris, in a move that reflects its growing interest in developing its military capabilities and strengthening its presence within the international security system.

The Chadian delegation is headed by the Minister of the Armed Forces, Veterans and War Victims, Lieutenant General Isaac Maloua Jamous, and includes Chad’s Ambassador to France, Amina Priscille Longo, along with a number of senior defense and security officials, who are participating in a series of meetings and specialized events on the sidelines of the exhibition.

Talks with France to strengthen military cooperation

Following the opening of the exhibition, the Chadian delegation held official talks with the French Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs, which addressed regional and international security developments, in addition to prospects for strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.

These meetings come amid growing security challenges facing the Sahel and Central Africa region, as Chad seeks to expand cooperation with its international partners and benefit from modern expertise and technologies in the fields of defense and security.

Eurosatory is one of the most important and largest defense exhibitions in the world, bringing together every two years military leaders, government decision-makers, representatives of defense companies and technology experts from various countries.

The exhibition showcases the latest innovations in the fields of armament, cybersecurity, command and control systems, reconnaissance and surveillance technologies, military robots, and drones, making it a global platform for shaping the future of defense industries.

Chad's participation is part of a national strategy aimed at modernizing the defense and security forces and developing their readiness to face changing threats.
