Beninese reports indicate that the new factory is fully funded by local investments and aims to transform local cotton into garments bearing the "Made in Benin" label, adhering to the highest international standards, thereby enhancing the country's position in global textile value chains.

She added that the project is not limited to industrial production, but also opens up tangible prospects for human development, in cooperation with the National Employment Agency to train more than 200 young people and integrate them sustainably into the labor market, with an ambitious plan to increase the number of employees to 1,000 in each country by 2027, bringing the total to 3,000 jobs in Benin, Togo and Ivory Coast.

The opening of the Novera Textile factory in Benin represents an important step in strengthening the textile industry in the African continent, as the new factory is a qualitative addition to the industrial infrastructure in the country, and reflects a trend towards attracting foreign investments and developing the manufacturing sector.

The factory is located in one of the vital industrial areas of Benin, and it was designed according to the latest international standards in the field of textile manufacturing, with a focus on high quality and competitiveness in regional and international markets.

The factory is expected to provide hundreds of direct and indirect job opportunities, contributing to supporting the local economy and improving living standards.

The factory works on producing cotton fabrics and those made from synthetic fibers, with future plans to expand into ready-made garment products and export them to markets in West Africa and Europe.

It also pays great attention to environmental sustainability, by adopting modern technologies to reduce water and energy consumption, and recycling industrial waste.

The textile industry in Benin is considered one of the promising sectors, as the country has young human resources and a strategic geographical location that allows easy access to regional markets.

The opening of the Novara Textile factory in Benin reinforces Benin's position as a regional center for the textile industry and gives a strong boost to the government's efforts to diversify the economy away from dependence on agriculture alone.
