The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion announced in Algeria The eighth edition of the Algerian Products Exhibition will be held in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, from May 5 to 11, in a move aimed at strengthening trade exchange and expanding the presence of Algerian products in regional markets.

The organization of this economic event comes within the framework of efforts Algeria To support its non-oil exports and develop economic partnerships with African countries, especially in light of the growing trend towards strengthening trade integration within the continent.

According to the ministry, more than 350 Algerian institutions, including public and private companies, representing various production and service sectors, including food industries, building materials, manufacturing industries, services, and technology, are participating in the exhibition.

The exhibition is expected to be an important platform for showcasing Algerian production capabilities, opening new channels of cooperation between businessmen in Algeria and Mauritania, as well as exploring joint investment opportunities and expanding the volume of trade between the two countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion confirmed that this economic event comes within a comprehensive strategy aimed at strengthening the presence of Algerian products in African markets and raising the level of competitiveness, especially in light of the challenges associated with the fluctuations of global markets.

The exhibition is also expected to witness bilateral business meetings between Algerian investors and their Mauritanian counterparts, with the aim of discussing partnership opportunities in the fields of industry, trade and services, in addition to exploring export possibilities towards West African markets.

The strength of economic relations between Algeria and Mauritania

The reports noted that the choice of the capital Nouakchott to host this edition reflects the strength of economic relations between Algeria and Mauritania, and the two countries’ endeavor to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially in light of the growing interest in developing new trade routes within the African continent.

The exhibition is expected to contribute to supporting the presence of the Algerian brand in foreign markets, and to open up wider horizons for Algerian institutions to expand their export activity, in line with the state’s policy aimed at diversifying sources of income and reducing dependence on hydrocarbons.

This event is one of the most prominent annual economic events adopted by Algeria to strengthen its economic diplomacy and consolidate its position as an important trading player within the African continent.
