A United Nations aid convoy was attacked by a drone in North Darfur, Sudan.

This came according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on Sunday, which resulted in the destruction of all the relief supplies that were being transported.

Targeting a relief equipment truck

The attack on the truck occurred the day before yesterday as it was carrying emergency shelter equipment and was on its way to the city of Tawila, where more than 700,000 displaced people have taken refuge after fleeing fighting in other areas of Darfur.

Agence France-Presse reported that all supplies were destroyed in the fire caused by the attack, noting that there were no human casualties.

The commission warned that this deprives displaced people of aid while they live in deplorable conditions without shelter.

The organization also expressed grave concern about the increasing frequency of drone attacks, which have killed hundreds of civilians.
