Egypt participates in a meeting of heads of African missions in Gabon to discuss continental cooperation issues.

The President of Gabon affirms the priority of African integration.

Ambassador Reham Hussein Ammar, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Gabon, participated in the meeting called for by Brice Olijé Ndjema, which brought together the heads of African diplomatic missions accredited to Gabon, within the framework of consultation on a number of issues and files of common interest at the level of the African continent.

The meeting comes amid the political, economic and security challenges facing many African countries, and the need to strengthen cooperation and coordination among African countries in order to support development efforts, achieve stability and promote the common interests of the peoples of the continent.

Gabon reaffirms its commitment to African issues

During the meeting, the Gabonese president stressed the importance his country attaches to the African continent, emphasizing that Gabon places strengthening cooperation with African countries at the forefront of its foreign policy priorities.

He explained that his country believes that the future of Africa depends on the ability of its countries to work together and develop mechanisms for regional cooperation in a way that serves the goals of development and stability.

He pointed out that the current challenges facing the continent require more solidarity and coordination among African governments, whether in the economic, security or development fields, in order to ensure the interests of the African people are met and to enhance the continent’s position on the international stage.

African integration is the foundation of sustainable development.

President Olusegun Nguema stressed that African integration is one of the main pillars for building a more prosperous future for the continent, emphasizing the importance of strengthening trade and investment exchange between African countries, developing cross-border infrastructure projects, and supporting initiatives that contribute to achieving sustainable development.

He added that the African continent possesses great human, natural and economic potential, but maximizing its benefits requires deepening cooperation between member states and activating continental agreements and initiatives aimed at achieving economic integration and promoting comprehensive development.

Egypt and Gabon: Growing cooperative relations

The Egyptian ambassador’s participation in this meeting reflects Egypt’s keenness to support joint African action efforts and enhance communication with various African countries, in line with the Egyptian policy that supports continental integration and strengthens development partnerships between the countries of the continent.

Egypt and Gabon have cooperative relations in many areas, and the two countries continue to coordinate within various African frameworks to support issues of common interest and promote development and stability opportunities on the continent.
