Hassan Ali Johar explained in a post on his official page on the social networking site X that the talks focused on the importance of developing bilateral cooperation in the field of adding value to minerals, as it is one of the vital sectors that has great potential to drive industrial growth in Kenya.

Both sides affirmed that investment in mining value chains can contribute to creating sustainable job opportunities, in addition to supporting the national economy and enhancing the competitiveness of Kenyan products in global markets.
Maritime transport and logistics
The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the maritime transport and logistics sector, as it is a key pillar for facilitating trade between the two countries and the countries of the region.
The importance of developing maritime infrastructure and improving the efficiency of supply chains was emphasized, in order to enhance regional connectivity and support trade exchange.

In the context of strengthening economic relations, the Kenyan minister extended an official invitation to the Egyptian ambassador and Egyptian investors to participate in the Mining Investment Conference and Exhibition (MICE) 2026, scheduled to be held on the 28th and 29th of this month.
The event aims to showcase the investment opportunities available in the mining sector and promote strategic partnerships between various international parties.
