The General Secretariat of the Government today launched the digital platform for the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chad, during an official ceremony attended by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Ambassador Allah May Halina, along with a number of members of the government and international partners, including representatives of the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme.

The Minister and Secretary-General of the Government affirmed that launching the platform represents an important step towards modernizing public administration and preserving the legal memory of the state.

She explained that it provides access to legal and regulatory texts issued since independence in both Arabic and French, in addition to publishing public procurement documents to promote transparency and ease of access to information.

For his part, Prime Minister Ambassador Almay Halina praised the team’s efforts in completing the project, stressing that digitization has become a necessity for developing administration, improving public services, and enhancing citizens’ trust in state institutions.

For her part, the representative of the United Nations Development Programme affirmed that the platform represents an important advance in the field of digital governance, noting the Programme’s continued support for the Chadian government’s efforts to modernize administration and enhance transparency.

The platform allows searching through old and new issues of the Official Gazette, in addition to viewing tenders, public deals and administrative decisions through a modern digital system.

It is worth noting that two days ago, the President of the Republic of Chad, Field Marshal Mohamed Idriss Deby, held a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, on the sidelines of the Africa Future Summit hosted by the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, in a move that reflects the continued political and economic rapprochement between the two countries and strengthens the strategic partnership between N’Djamena and Paris.

The talks addressed a number of issues of common interest, particularly those related to strengthening economic and investment cooperation and pushing bilateral relations towards broader horizons, based on the understandings reached during the official visit of the Chadian President to France months ago, which was described at the time as a friendly and working visit that laid the foundation for a new phase of coordination between the two sides.
