Egypt's polo team defeats Nigeria in the Kano Polo Club International Championship

The Egyptian polo team achieved an important victory over their Nigerian counterparts with a score of 5-4, in the opening match of the Kano Polo Club International Tournament, bringing them a big step closer to winning the title before the decisive final match.

The Egyptian national team players delivered a strong performance during the match, as they imposed their control over the course of the game and succeeded in deciding the match by a one-goal margin against the home team, putting themselves in a strong position towards winning the championship.

Mohamed El Shami, President of the Egyptian Polo Federation, confirmed that this victory over the Nigerian team reflects the remarkable development that polo is witnessing in Egypt, and confirms the players’ ability to compete strongly in international tournaments.

He added that the team is participating in the tournament with great ambitions to raise Egypt's name high, expressing his confidence in continuing the outstanding performance and achieving victory in the final match and winning the title.

The Egyptian national team delegation is headed by Major General Hossam Ragab, and the team list includes Marwan Al-Afandi, the team captain, Ibrahim Zahdi, Ismail Awadallah, and Ali Al-Kashef.

The Egyptian national team is scheduled to play the final match against its Nigerian counterpart in an anticipated encounter, during which it seeks to confirm its superiority and add a new title to the record of Egyptian polo achievements on the international stage.
