“Ginger” and ”The Heard” top the list with nine nominations each, with all the films nominated for Best Picture having been shown in cinemas, a first in the history of the award.

A cinematographer also received three nominations in one year, and a French company owns the award, and the most important decision that night may not be who wins the Best Picture award.
