During the celebration, the singer held up banknotes and called out to members of the teaching staff, which led many to compare it to what happens “in nightclubs.”.

The video caused reservations among members of the educational community, as well as those following educational affairs.

Some asked: “Is this how we celebrate Science Day? It’s a farce.”.

However, others downplayed the incident, saying: “They may have been distracted by the joy of the celebration from some disciplinary details; we shouldn’t exaggerate things.”.

She stated that, in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of National Education, and following the circulation of a video of a ceremony held to commemorate National Science Day, the school principal and all those found responsible for or involved in organizing this activity, which the statement described as "isolated incidents," have been immediately suspended.

She emphasized that the events and behaviors witnessed were inconsistent with the educational mission of Algerian schools and the ethical principles governing school life. She stressed the "constant commitment to preserving the sanctity of educational institutions and maintaining their educational and ethical character in accordance with the values of Algerian society." She concluded by urging "all members of the educational community to demonstrate a sense of responsibility and strict adherence to the regulations governing cultural and educational activities.".
