«"Aida 4" hosts talks to enhance Egyptian-Algerian cooperation

With scholarships and letters of brotherhood

During a visit described as historic to the port AlgeriaThe ship «Aida 4» hosted an official reception and dinner banquet, attended by high-level Egyptian and Algerian officials, along with a large number of diplomats and public figures.

The guests were received by Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and Ambassador Abdel Latif Al-Layeh, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Algeria, while on the Algerian side, Abdel Ghani Dridi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, was present, on behalf of Minister Said Saoud.

The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Ali Mohammed Alawi Al-Yazidi, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, MP Mohammed Al-Arabi Suleimani, Vice President of the National Assembly, Haji Mohammed, President and CEO of the Port of Algiers Corporation, and Hajal Riyad, President and CEO of the Port Services Complex, along with a number of leaders in the maritime sector, including Dr. Raban Amr Samir Nassir, Dean of the Maritime Training Institute, and Captain Mohammed Shandi, Captain of the ship «Aida 4».

The event was also attended by members of the Egyptian Embassy in Algeria, members of the accredited diplomatic corps, a number of Algerian state officials, as well as representatives of the cultural community and members of the Egyptian community.

The ceremony began with the playing of the Egyptian and Algerian national anthems by soprano Dina Sirine, followed by official speeches that emphasized the depth of historical relations and bonds of brotherhood that unite the two brotherly peoples.

Scholarships for Algerian students

In a gesture reflecting the strengthening of cultural and educational cooperation, Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar announced the provision of a number of scholarships for Algerian students to study at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, in a step aimed at supporting scientific exchange and building sustainable bridges of cooperation between the two countries.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the attendees expressed their delight at this special event, emphasizing their anticipation of repeated visits by the ship «Aida 4» to Algerian ports, which would enhance prospects for joint cooperation and serve the mutual interests between Egypt and Algeria.

Six people were killed in forest fires that broke out in several areas of northern Algeria, while authorities deployed civil protection teams and army units to the fire sites to control the flames and prevent them from spreading to residential areas, amid high temperatures and winds that contributed to the rapid spread of the flames.
