The El Alamein-Africa Forum: President El-Sisi and 20 of his counterparts are attending.

Official data from the El Alamein-Africa Forum revealed that Forum It is witnessing a high-level attendance of leaders from 14 African countries, most notably Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The presidents of Equatorial Guinea, Uganda, Djibouti, Angola, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Burundi, Libya, Tanzania, Kenya, Chad, Senegal, and Ghana are in attendance.

The African El Alamein Forum is held every two years.

The El Alamein-Africa Forum: President El-Sisi and 20 of his counterparts are attending.

According to the forum's official platform, the Alamein African Forum was established as a permanent African business forum held every two years in Egypt, while its inaugural and first edition will take place in the new city of Alamein in Egypt from June 25 to 27, 2026.

The inaugural edition will bring together more than 20 heads of state and government representatives, along with senior leaders from leading international and regional financial institutions and key players driving transformative change in Africa’s most critical sectors, from infrastructure, trade and vital minerals to digital innovation, health markets and emerging industries that are reshaping the continent’s economic identity.

The goal is for this gathering to become the continent’s premier hub where political power meets entrepreneurial acumen, linking Africa’s established growth engines with the new sectors that are shaping its future.

The forum brings together the most influential decision-makers in Africa.

The forum, organized by the Egyptian government, the African Export-Import Bank, the African Union Development Agency and the New Partnership for Africa’s Development, brings together Africa’s most influential decision-makers in an unprecedented alliance between public and private sector leadership.

While more than 50 government delegations and independent bodies, 400 senior executives, and over 1,000 participants are in attendance, The strategic objectives of the conference are Aligning policy and investment priorities, Mobilizing partnerships for implementation, Strengthening financing and investment pathways. Stimulating intra-African trade opportunities, Integrating emerging economic sectors, andEnsuring continuity and accountability.

In a related context, Ambassador Ahmed Sherif, Egypt’s Ambassador to South Africa, Botswana and Lesotho, and Egypt’s Permanent Representative to the SADC, hosted an economic event in Pretoria to promote the first African Business Forum “Alamein Forum 2026”, scheduled to be held in New Alamein City from June 25 to 27, 2026, and to highlight recent developments in the Egyptian economy.

Representatives of the entities involved in organizing the forum participated in the event, most notably Nardos Bekele Thomas, CEO of NEPAD, Fernando Balderrama, Investment Officer at the African Development Bank (AfDB) office in South Africa, and Ronnie Ntuli, Board Member of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and Chairman of the South African infrastructure investment group Thelo.
