Boukary Savadogo, Ambassador Burkina Faso Saudi Arabia has its first flight carrying pilgrims from Bobo-Dioulasso, the economic capital of Burkina Faso, to Medina on Thursday, following the arrival of the first batch of pilgrims from Ouagadougou.

The 342 pilgrims arrived at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah at 11:30 a.m., where they were received by His Excellency the Ambassador, accompanied by Deputy Consul Drissa Ouattara, the supervisor of the National Hajj Organizing Committee, Mr. Koanda Daouda, and a number of representatives of travel agencies.

On this occasion, His Excellency the Ambassador conveyed to the pilgrims the greetings and prayers of senior officials in Burkina Faso. He urged them to conduct themselves exemplaryly during their stay in the Holy Land and to include in their prayers the aspirations of the people of Burkina Faso, particularly peace, social cohesion, and national prosperity.

The pilgrims, who were moved and delighted to perform this fundamental pillar of Islam, expressed their satisfaction with the arrangements made for their reception and accommodation.

Regarding the season Hajj The Saudi Tawakkalna application continues to affirm its role as one of the most prominent national digital solutions that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia utilizes to serve the pilgrims, by enabling the viewing of Hajj cards and permits electronically within an advanced technological system, which aims to facilitate procedures and raise the efficiency of services provided to pilgrims from the early stages of their journey until their arrival in the Holy Land.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) is working on developing and operating the digital system for the Makkah Route Initiative, by linking the participating government agencies within a unified technological environment that contributes to accelerating procedures and ensuring the accuracy of data and biometric data verification, thus ensuring a seamless and integrated digital experience for pilgrims.

The Tawakkalna application allows pilgrims to view Hajj permits and related services electronically, which enhances ease of movement and access to various services during the performance of the rituals, within the framework of the Kingdom’s direction towards digital transformation and improving the quality of services provided to the guests of God.

The app includes over 1,300 digital services offered in collaboration with more than 350 government and private entities, contributing to improved quality of life for users by providing diverse and easily accessible services. The app has over 35 million users, with more than one million active users daily.

The Ministry of Interior is implementing the Makkah Route Initiative for the eighth consecutive year, in partnership with a number of government agencies, including the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, and Media, in addition to the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the General Authority for Endowments, the Guests of God Service Program, the General Directorate of Passports, and in integration with the digital partner, stc Group. .
