Burhan arrives in Jeddah

Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met with Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan.

Al-Burhan arrived in Jeddah today, and was received at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region.

According to Saudi media, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed with the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in the Republic of Sudan, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, developments in the Sudanese file and explored ways to resolve the Sudanese crisis.

He was also received by the Mayor of Jeddah, Saleh bin Ali Al-Turki, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, the Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the Kingdom, Dafallah Al-Hajj, the Director of the Makkah Region Police, Major General Saleh Al-Jabri, and the Director of Royal Protocol in the Makkah Region, Ahmed Abdullah bin Thafir.

Bin Salman calls the President of China

In another context, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prime Minister, made a telephone call to President Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China.

At the beginning of the call, the strategic relations between the Kingdom and the People’s Republic of China were discussed, and the existing areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries were reviewed, as well as ways to strengthen and develop them in a number of fields.

The call also included a discussion of the latest developments in the region and their security and economic repercussions at the regional and international levels, in addition to discussing efforts to reduce escalation and enhance security and stability in the region, especially with regard to maritime navigation security and its economic repercussions, as well as its impact on vital supplies to the world.

In this regard, the Chinese President stressed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open to navigation in a way that serves the interests of the countries of the region and the international community, and promotes lasting stability in the region.
