Financial authorities announced the delivery of a new batch of attack aircraft. drone From the «Akinsi» model to the armed forces, in a move aimed at strengthening the country’s defense and military capabilities as part of the national defense system modernization plan.

The city of Sévaré witnessed the official handover ceremony on Thursday, presided over by the Minister Delegate for Defense, Major General Omar Diarra, in the presence of a number of military leaders.

The aircraft were received by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Elisse Jean Dao, before being placed at the disposal of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Brigadier General Alou Boye Diarra, in preparation for their entry into service within the formations of the Malian Air Force.

The authorities confirmed that the new drones will contribute to enhancing the army’s capabilities in the areas of reconnaissance, surveillance and intelligence gathering, in addition to carrying out precision strikes, which supports military operations and enhances the readiness of the armed forces.

This development comes as part of the Malian Armed Forces Modernization Program, which aims to improve defense capabilities, strengthen territorial control, and support efforts to maintain security and stability.

In another context, the General Staff of the Malian Armed Forces announced the implementation of humanitarian supply operation Extensive, it aimed to deliver food and medical aid to the residents of Diavaribe District in Tenenco Region, and Noah Bozo Village in Kwakoro District in Jenne Region, as part of the state’s efforts to support the most isolated areas.

The authority explained in a statement that the operation, which was carried out on July 26, 2026, resulted in the transfer and distribution of 48 tons of basic food items, including rice, sugar, oil and milk, in addition to quantities of medicines and medical supplies.

She added that the aid, provided by the Presidency of the Transitional Phase, aims to alleviate the suffering of the residents of the two regions, who face significant challenges in obtaining basic supplies due to their geographical isolation and difficulty of access.

The Malian Armed Forces confirmed that the operation is part of their mission to support citizens and ensure the continued delivery of basic needs to various regions, especially remote communities, thereby strengthening the presence of state institutions and consolidating their efforts in providing humanitarian services.

The General Staff stressed that the armed forces will continue to carry out their humanitarian missions alongside their security responsibilities, in order to contribute to strengthening stability and supporting the population throughout the country.
