Egyptian Minister of Defense meets Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of the Democratic Republic of Congo

General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with J. Kabumba Mwadiamvita, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense and Veterans Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt. An official reception ceremony was held for him at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, and military bands played the national anthems of both countries. .

The meeting addressed the developments of situations on the regional and international stages and their repercussions on security and stability within the African continent, as well as understanding on increasing military and security cooperation between the two countries. .

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces expressed during the meeting his pride in the joint Egyptian-Congolese relations and the importance of continuing coordination, joint work, and strengthening ties of cooperation and support in various fields of military cooperation. .

For his part, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense and Veterans of the Democratic Republic of Congo praised Egypt's efforts in supporting all African issues, expressing his aspiration for further coordination on issues of common interest. .

The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and a number of armed forces commanders from both countries. .
