Madagascar and Egypt: Enhancing Prospects for Cooperation During National Day Celebration

حضرت وزيرة خارجية مدغشقر، أليس ندياي، وأعضاء الحكومة مراسم الاحتفال بالعيد الوطني لجمهورية مصر العربية، في ذكرى ثورة 23 يوليو 1952، وذلك إلى جانب حضور سفيرة مصر لدى مدغشقر، رباب سعيد عبدو عبد الهادي.

ومنذ إقامة العلاقات الدبلوماسية في 23 فبراير 1970، أرست مدغشقر ومصر دعائم تعاون قوي يشمل قطاعات عديدة مثل الزراعة والصحة والتعليم والتجارة والبنية التحتية.

ومن المقرر أن يتوسع هذا التعاون ليشمل مجالات التحول الرقمي والطاقة المتجددة والذكاء الاصطناعي.

وخلال كلمتها، أشادت وزيرة خارجية مدعشقر، بالدعم القوي الذي تقدمه مصر لمسار الإصلاح في مدغشقر، سواء على المستوى الثنائي أو على المستوى الإفريقي.

مدغشقر ومصر.. تعاون في القطاعات الحيوية

في السياق ذاته، أكّدت مصر وMadagascarTheir keenness to expand the horizons of joint cooperation, during a meeting that brought together the Prime Minister of the Republic of Madagascar, Mamitiana Rajaonarisone, with the Egyptian Ambassador to Antananarivo, Rabab Saeed, where the two sides discussed ways to improve bilateral relations and enhance partnership in a number of vital sectors of common interest.

The meeting comes as part of ongoing efforts to support Egyptian relations with African countries and to enhance cooperation in a way that serves the goals of sustainable development and achieves the common interests of both countries.

The talks included a review of opportunities to expand cooperation in the fields of agriculture, health, trade, and manufacturing, as well as encouraging mutual investments, which would contribute to increasing the volume of economic exchange and opening new horizons for the public and private sectors in both countries.

Both sides stressed the importance of utilizing the economic potential of Egypt and Madagascar, and working to implement joint projects that promote development and support economic integration between the two countries.

Capacity building and knowledge transfer

During the meeting, Ambassador Rabab Saeed stressed the importance of the continued participation of Malagasy personnel in capacity-building programs organized by Egyptian institutions, as one of the main pillars for enhancing technical cooperation and transferring expertise in various fields.

She explained that Egypt pays great attention to supporting development efforts in African countries through training, qualification and exchange of experiences, which enhances institutional capabilities and supports the development process in the continent.

A shared vision for the future of cooperation

The meeting reflected an agreement between Cairo and Antananarivo on the importance of elevating bilateral relations to more comprehensive levels, through strengthening economic, investment and technical cooperation, and taking advantage of the opportunities available in African markets.
