وأكدت المشاركة الأوغندية في هذه المناسبة حرص كمبالا على تعزيز علاقاتها الثنائية مع مدغشقر، وترسيخ أواصر التعاون المشترك بين البلدين في مختلف المجالات، بما يسهم في دعم جهود التنمية والتكامل داخل القارة الإفريقية.

وخلال الاحتفال، شدد كاسولو على أهمية تعزيز التعاون الإقليمي بين الدول الإفريقية، مشيرًا إلى التزام أوغندا بدعم المبادرات الهادفة إلى تحقيق التنمية المستدامة وتعزيز الاستقرار والازدهار في القارة.

وتأتي مشاركة أوغندا في احتفالات استقلال مدغشقر في إطار العلاقات الودية التي تجمع البلدين، وسعيهما إلى توسيع مجالات التعاون السياسي والاقتصادي والثقافي، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للشعبين الشقيقين.

وتحيي مدغشقر في 26 يونيو من كل عام ذكرى استقلالها عن فرنسا عام 1960، حيث تُقام بهذه المناسبة احتفالات رسمية وشعبية تعكس الاعتزاز بتاريخ البلاد وهويتها الوطنية.

Uganda targets the German market with a major tourism campaign

وفي سياق منفصل، في خطوة تستهدف تعزيز حضورها على خريطة السياحة الأوروبية، أطلقت أوغندا جولة ترويجية سياحية مشتركة مع ألمانيا في مدينة دوسلدورف، بهدف التعريف بمقوماتها السياحية الفريدة واستقطاب المزيد من الزوار من السوق الألمانية.

The event was organized at the initiative of the Ugandan Embassy in Berlin and in cooperation with the Ugandan Tourism Authority. It brought together a number of government officials, tourism sector representatives and tour operators from both countries, as part of efforts to enhance tourism cooperation and open new horizons for partnerships between the two sides.

Uganda Culture and Tourism Festival

The event comes as a prelude to the launch of the first edition of the Uganda Culture and Tourism Festival, scheduled to be held in Munich from June 26 to 28, 2026, which aims to highlight Ugandan cultural identity and enhance the country’s appeal as an integrated tourist destination.

During the event, Ms. Jessica Namudu, speaking on behalf of Ambassador Stephen Mubiro, emphasized the depth of bilateral relations between Uganda and Germany, noting that the tourism sector represents one of the promising areas for strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

Namudo highlighted Uganda’s most prominent tourist attractions, including the rare mountain gorillas, rich biodiversity, unique wildlife, diverse cultural heritage, and stunning landscapes that have made the country one of the most prominent emerging tourist destinations in Africa.

Through these promotional initiatives, Uganda seeks to enhance its position on the international tourism scene and increase the number of tourists coming from Europe, especially from Germany, which is one of the important markets for African tourism.
