Egypt's youth national team lost to Algeria in the final match of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The youth team qualifies for the Africa Cup of Nations

The match between the Egyptian national youth team (born in 2009) and Algeria ended with the Pharaohs losing by one goal to nil, at the conclusion of the North African qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations under 17 years old in Morocco.

The Algerian national team achieved a victory over Egypt with a clean goal, in the match that brought the two teams together as part of the fifth round of the North African qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations.

The Algerian national team secured qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations finals after advancing to second place with 7 points, while the Egyptian national team dropped to third place with 6 points.

The youth national team qualifies for the Africa Cup of Nations

The junior national team, led by Hussein Abdel Latif, secured its qualification for the African Cup of Nations under 17 years old, after achieving victory in two matches against Tunisia and Libya, and suffering two defeats against Algeria and Morocco.

Egypt, Morocco and Algeria qualified for the African Cup of Nations Under 17 finals, while Tunisia and Libya were eliminated from the qualifiers held on the latter's home grounds.

The 2026 Africa U-16 Cup of Nations is scheduled to take place in Morocco from April 25 to May 15, with the participation of 16 teams from across the African continent.
