استقبل رئيس مجلس جمهورية توجو، فور إيسوزيمنا غناسينغبي، في 11 يونيو 2026، وزير الخارجية والتعاون الإفريقي وشؤون الموريتانيين بالخارج، محمد سالم ولد مرزوق.
يأتي ذلك في إطار علاقات الصداقة والتعاون بين توغو وموريتانيا، لتوطيد سبل التعاون والشراكة، بما يعود بالنفع على الشعبين.
وكان وزير الخارجية الموريتاني، يحمل رسالة من الرئيس محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني، حرص على تقديمها لرئيس مجلس توجو.
وجاء في نص الرسالة: “تشرفنا باستقبال السيد فور غناسينغبي، رئيس مجلس جمهورية توغو، الذي نقلنا إليه رسالة من شقيقه، محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني، رئيس الجمهورية الإسلامية الموريتانية.
مشاورات دورية حول القضايا المحلية والدولية
ويجري الزعيمان مشاورات دورية حول القضايا الرئيسية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، على الصعيدين الثنائي والإقليمي والدولي”، كما صرح.
وانتهز محمد سالم، ولد مرزوق، فرصة لقائه مع رئيس مجلس دولة توجو، لمناقشة وضع الشراكة الثنائية وآفاق التعاون المشترك بين البلدين.
كما بحث الجانبان عددًا من القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك على الأجندة الدولية، لا سيما في إطار الاتحاد الأفريقي، ومنظمة التعاون الإسلامي، والأمم المتحدة.
وأبرزت المباحثات تقارب وجهات النظر حول القضايا الإقليمية والدولية الرئيسية، فضلاً عن التزامهما المشترك بقيم السلام والتضامن والتعاون.
موريتانيا تعاني التصحر
وعلى صعيد متصل بالشأن الموريتاني، حذّرت وزيرة البيئة والتنمية المستدامة الموريتانية، مسعودة بنت بحام، من التفاقم المستمر لظاهرة التصحر في البلاد.
أكّدت، أنها باتت تؤثر على أكثر من 84% من إجمالي مساحة موريتانيا، في ظل تحديات بيئية متصاعدة تهدد الشريط الساحلي والتنوع البيولوجي البري والبحري.
The minister's remarks came during events held in the capital Nouakchott to celebrate World Environment and Oceans Days, where she reviewed the most prominent environmental issues facing the country and the government's efforts to deal with them.
Bint Baham stressed that the expansion of desertification represents one of the most serious current environmental challenges, noting that confronting this phenomenon requires intensifying national efforts and strengthening coordination between the various concerned parties, in addition to working to protect coastal ecosystems and preserve biodiversity.
Mauritania implements a package of reforms
She added that the Mauritanian government is implementing a package of programs and reforms aimed at enhancing the ability to adapt to climate change and reducing its negative effects, which contributes to supporting the resilience of environmental and economic systems and achieving sustainable development.
The Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development stressed that protecting the environment is a fundamental pillar for ensuring food security, public health and achieving economic well-being, calling for continued efforts to preserve and protect natural resources for future generations.
These warnings come at a time of growing international concern about the repercussions of climate change and environmental degradation, especially in countries located in areas most vulnerable to desertification and drought.
