Adissa Guessou, the Ambassador of the Republic of Burkina Faso to Cairo, affirmed that the celebration of “Africa Day” represents a crucial opportunity to remind all the peoples of the continent of their belonging to one region and a common destiny, stressing that collective action is the only and necessary way to develop and advance the continent.
Investing in human and natural resources
In exclusive statements to “Zoom Africa News”, on the sidelines of Egypt’s celebration of Africa Day at Cairo University, Ambassador Jesu explained that Africa has been blessed by God with enormous capabilities, saying: “God has blessed our continent with exceptional human and natural resources, which are the ‘strength’ that we must rely on, and it is our duty to work hand in hand to invest these riches and develop our region in a way that fulfills the aspirations of our people.”.

Regarding bilateral relations between Ouagadougou and Cairo, the ambassador described them as “very beautiful and distinguished relations,” noting the existence of high-level coordination and continuous activity between the institutions of the two countries.
She noted the exchange of visits between officials, including visits by directors of departments at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Burkina Faso, in addition to the existing cooperation between many other institutions, which reflects the depth of the fraternal ties.

The Ambassador of Burkina Faso extended heartfelt congratulations to all African peoples on their continental day, saying: “I send a message of love and solidarity, and I say to all my brothers and sisters on the continent: Happy Africa Day to us all, and let us continue to work together for a bright future for our continent.”.
