President of the Republic of Tanzania, Samia Hassan, affirmed that her government has begun taking practical steps to ensure the implementation of all agreements reached with Egypt, noting that she has directed the relevant ministers and experts to follow up on the full implementation of these understandings according to the specified timetables, in order to ensure tangible results that benefit the citizens of both countries.
She said that citizens in Egypt and Tanzania are waiting to see the fruits of these agreements on the ground, stressing that the success of bilateral cooperation is not measured by the size of the agreements signed, but by their ability to improve the lives of citizens, create new job opportunities, and promote economic growth and sustainable development.

She added that the official visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to Tanzania represents an important milestone in the course of relations between the two countries, and reflects the shared political will to strengthen the historic partnership that has linked Cairo and Dar es Salaam for more than 62 years.
She noted that Egyptian-Tanzanian relations have witnessed continuous development over the past decades, transforming into a strategic partnership based on cooperation and mutual respect, in line with the vision of the two countries’ leaderships to achieve development and prosperity for their people.
The President of Tanzania explained that Egypt is one of the largest investors in her country, as Egyptian companies have contributed to the implementation of development and investment projects in vital sectors, which has strengthened Cairo’s position as a major economic partner for Tanzania.
She revealed that the talks with President Sisi resulted in an agreement to expand cooperation in a number of priority sectors, including trade and investment, agriculture, energy, health, and education, within the framework of the two countries’ orientation towards strengthening economic integration and opening new horizons for cooperation.
She announced that the two sides signed two new cooperation agreements, in addition to agreeing to launch a joint business platform aimed at encouraging investment, linking the business community in the two countries, and exploring promising economic opportunities that contribute to achieving common prosperity.
The President of Tanzania concluded her remarks by emphasizing that the next phase will witness a greater push for relations with Egypt, in light of the mutual desire to expand areas of cooperation and transform agreements into projects and achievements that directly impact the lives of citizens in both countries.
