Al-Musallamani receives the head of the African Television Union to discuss media cooperation

During the meeting, Al-Musallamani stressed that the African Union of Television, which was established in 2014 and includes 69 African channels from 32 countries, represents an important media platform, noting the Authority’s aspiration to work together for African media that contributes to supporting security and promoting economic development on the continent.

For his part, Dr. Abu Bakr Barghou praised the role played by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in supporting peace and development issues in Africa, stressing that his actions and visits to a number of African countries reflect a genuine interest in the future of the continent and the strengthening of regional cooperation.

He added that President Sisi’s vision for developing continental infrastructure, including the Cairo-Cape Town road project, reflects a strategic direction to benefit from Africa’s resources and enhance integration among its countries.

Following the meeting, Dr. Barqou toured the television theater and Naguib Mahfouz Studio, in the presence of a number of leaders of the National Media Authority, including Director Magdi Lashin, Secretary-General of the Authority, Director Mohamed El-Gohary, Head of Television, Dr. Ayman El-Sisi, and Professor Ayman Attia, Vice President of Nile News Channel.

In a separate context, as part of efforts to promote the African Business Forum, which Egypt will host in New Alamein City from June 25 to 27, 2026, Ambassador Abdel Rahman Raafat, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Djibouti, held a meeting Introductory seminar He appeared today at the headquarters of the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce.

This took place in the presence of the Chamber President, a number of senior officials, and Djiboutian businessmen who received official invitations to participate in the forum.

The ambassador stressed the importance of the forum as a leading African platform for promoting economic and investment cooperation among the countries of the continent, noting that it is not only an occasion for dialogue on economic issues, but also represents a practical framework that brings together governments, financial institutions and the African business community to explore investment opportunities, build partnerships and promote economic integration among African countries.
