The English Football Association intends to formally withdraw its support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino, dealing him a major blow just days after he backed down from his attempt to sell some of his shares to private investors.
The English Football Association has announced that it will send a letter to FIFA to formally withdraw its support for Gianni's fourth term.
This comes just moments after the Welsh and Finnish federations withdrew their support for Gianni's candidacy.

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) announced on Saturday that it has lost confidence in FIFA's leadership, potentially paving the way for a challenge to Infantino's presidency.
CONCACAF, the governing body of football in North, Central America and the Caribbean, said that FIFA's leadership "has stopped prioritizing football.".
Infantino was forced to back down from his controversial plans to sell World Cup profits through a commercial subsidiary that manages its most important competitions.
Infantino's plans collapsed after the 55 member nations of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) agreed on Thursday to boycott the World Cup and all other FIFA competitions.
The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) and the Asian Football Confederation also announced their opposition to the plan.
Despite Infantino's reversal, UEFA said it would work with other continental federations "to develop a plan to ensure this does not happen again.".
