The Egyptian ambassador received Sierra LeoneRasha Suleiman, Director General of the National Civil Registry Authority, Mohammed Mubasher Masakwi, during a meeting that discussed ways to expand joint cooperation in the areas of digital transformation, capacity building and the development of identity and civil registry systems.

During their fruitful discussions at the embassy, Ambassador Suleiman expressed her sincere gratitude to the Director General and the team of the National Civil Registry Authority for their effective support in facilitating the rapid civil registration procedures for the Al-Azhar envoys in Sierra Leone.
The two sides discussed broader opportunities to enhance cooperation, with a particular focus on digital transformation, capacity building, and the development of a robust civil registry and identity infrastructure. Led by the National Civil Registry Authority’s Digital Identity Management Programme in Sierra Leone, the exchange of experiences and technology transfer with Egypt is an important step forward.
The Ambassador and the Director-General also affirmed their commitment to strengthening the long-standing friendship between Egypt and Sierra Leone, and discussed ways to build resilient, technology-based institutions. .

In a separate context, a Kenyan official confirmed that the state visit he made Kenyan President William Rutte's visit to Kazakhstan has contributed to strengthening the growing partnership between the two countries and opening up new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of technology and the digital economy.
The official, who accompanied the Kenyan president during the visit, explained that the talks addressed strengthening cooperation in the fields of information and communication technology, artificial intelligence, e-government services, innovation, space technology, and trade.
He added that Kenya continues to implement its “Digital Highway” agenda while strengthening its capabilities in artificial intelligence, stressing that global strategic partnerships are a key element in accelerating digital transformation, developing skills, and supporting innovation-led economic growth.
