He pointed out that the people have come to realize that elections are a means to achieve peace and stability, and the government has also realized the importance of ensuring an electoral environment that allows citizens to freely express their will, which has contributed to the success of the electoral process.

The President called on political parties and individuals who have gained the trust of the voters to assume their responsibilities and work for the development and progress of the country, in line with the aspirations of the people.
He stressed that one of the most important outcomes of the elections is the promotion of sustainable development and national stability, noting that the electoral process will contribute to consolidating peace and democracy in Ethiopia.
He also pointed out that there are parties seeking to gain power outside of democratic and electoral frameworks, calling on them to review their positions and commit to the democratic path.
The President stressed that modern democratic practice is based on peaceful political competition and resorting to the ballot box, stressing that attempts to seize power by force only lead to the suffering of citizens and disrupt the development process, and that seizing power by force is not a possible option in Ethiopia.
